Taxi Driver is prosecuted for refusing a customer with a guide dog
The taxi driver refused to accomodate the lady and her dog due to his religious beliefs - that her guide dog was "unclean". Licensed taxi drivers are required by law to carry guide dogs. The case went to court and the taxi driver involved was fined £200 and was ordered to pay £1200 for non-compliance with regulations set out under the Disability Discrimination Act.
